The Ballarat Grammar community is invited to visit the Year 6 Primary Years Program Exhibition at the WCPA, 6pm-8pm Monday 4th September (official opening at 6:30pm) with the exhibition continuing the following day, 9-11am then 11:30 -2pm.
What is the Year 6 Exhibition?
In 2017 our Year 6 students are inquiring ‘how the world works’ by exploring the idea that ‘deepening scientific knowledge helps people address significant issues’. Through structured and independent research, students are investigating issues ranging from how the brain works and how phobias impact daily life to safety on farms and the mental impact of a plane crash on survivors.
Each small group or individual will present on their chosen issue at their stands, answering questions and presenting information which has been prepared to engage their audience in their findings and the journey they took to get there.
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) Year 6 exhibition represents a significant event in the life of a PYP school and student, bringing together the essential elements of the PYP and sharing them with the whole school community. As a culminating experience, it is an opportunity for students to exhibit the attributes of the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner that have been developing throughout their primary years.
We are proud to invite the Ballarat Grammar community to experience the Year 6 PYP exhibition and celebrate the significant achievements of our students as learners.
